Why War In Gaza?

We will examine why the War for Palestine is no closer to ending now than it was when it began, 54 years ago, and why the American government is financing the Israeli side in its brutal path. The war in Palestine is an American war, just as much as the one in Afghanistan is. I know this, because I, personally, heard and saw the American F-16 planes and the missiles made in the U.S. exploding in the refugee camps, homes, and office buildings of Gaza. It is not necessary to go to Gaza to understand what is going on there, unless you are a person who trusts the American media implicitly. Here in the United States it has been “official” policy to stand by Israel whether it is killing over 300 innocent children in Gaza or killing aid workers on a Turkish ship in international waters.  Fortunately, a wind of awareness is blowing here in the US and Israel. In March, the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, reported that “U.S. General David Petraeus said on Wednesday that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was fomenting anti-American sentiment due to the perception of U.S. favoritism towards Israel.”

          The Unacceptable Cost of Judeo-Christianity is offered as a memorial to eight dead American soldiers, who did not need to die, and uncounted Afghans, Iraqis, and Palestinians, all killed the first four days of October.  We also memorialize the calculated assassination of a thing we all use and depend upon, the “Dollar,” destroyed in a large part by unnecessary and contrived by Serial Wars.           The Death of the Dollar” is a passing that will bring deprivation to a class of Americans who never dreamed it could befall them. The sad fact however is that the Americans–as much as they champion themselves as a “free people”–are in no better shape than the Palestinians. On the contrary, the American position is worse than that of the Palestinians. The Palestinians can identify the enemy–he is the one with the gun and blowing away their loved ones. They KNOW they are occupied and oppressed. They KNOW how Israel occupied Palestine, killed its inhabitants and forced the majority of those who survived the carnage out of their homes and lands to then live as strangers in refugee camps.  The Americans however, have no idea. Like a drug addict who thinks he feels great after shooting up, he does not realize he is a slave, to his substance and to his pusher.

  The Reason for This Picket:           Scottsdale Bible Church is enabling an un-Christ-like, anti-Islam agenda.  The Church's facility will be used by Walid Shoebat, whose program masquerades as a Commemorative Memorial Service for Day/911.  His books sell the idea that Muslims hate Christians.   Shoebat pretends to be a reformed bank-bombing, Arab Terrorist, in spite of his admission that he left Palestine for the USA with his American mother at age 16; the leaders of Scottsdale Bible Church have been informed but refused to cancel the event.  Shoebat has been discredited and exposed by many, including the New York Times and Jerusalem Post. The Post feature in May 2008, concludes: “If the Bank Leumi bombing claim is unfounded, it is unclear why Shoebat would have wanted to manufacture a terrorist past. True or not, however, it has plainly brought him some prominence and provided him with a means to speak in favor of Israel and be paid for doing so.”   All faiths are invited and are expected. We call for this church to return to the teachings of Jesus Christ, "Blessed are the Peacemakers", and "Love your Brother, even your Enemy."  We invite dialogue with Church members.

Scottsdale Bible Church will open its 2500 seat facility for a “Keynote Speech" by Walid Shoebat, arranged by Chosen People Ministries. The church lists the event on its Calendar as “Day911 Commemorative Memorial Service.”  Walid Shoebat is in our experience, a trained businessman-propagandist for the Israeli government, much like John Hagee with a added honorary degree in "Terrorism".

Therefore, we support Donald Boström and the editor and publisher of Aftonbladet in their decision to publish "Our sons plundered for their organs." We salute the Swedish government in refusing to submit to Israeli pressure and undermine the fundamental rights of freedom of the press and freedom of expression. Gold, the Central Bankers, and High Cost of a Pass Receiver

Answers Reader's Question: What is the significance of the agreement among 19 European “Central Bankers” to limit gold sales to 400 tons per year and not more than 2000 tons in five years? As far as a commitment to those of us who hold currency in our bank accounts is concerned, the European Central Bankers signed agreement on gold, Associated Press August 07, 2009, means nothing because the central bankers can change it, or ignore it, and they do not have to tell us what they are doing. This announcement was likely made to convince us tons of gold is going to be put on the market, therefore the price will be unstable…a poor investment compared to paper dollars, we are want to believe.  Note that the only central bank to make an individual announcement is Switzerland, which owns a relatively large amount (they say) of 1004 tons, says it has no plan to sell any. There is no reason to believe any central banker, even the Swiss, but let's look at the significance in the event they do what they say and sell 400 tons a year. It seem we have to figure out for ourselves. Lets start with, how much a ton of gold is. It's about the value of the signing bonus demanded by one 21-year old football pass catcher named Michael Crabtree. He says he will sit out the season unless the San Francisco 49er's management promise him lots more than the offered $20 million (2/3 ton of gold) to sign. Here is the calculation: a metric ton of gold is about 32,500 troy ounces, multiplying by $950 per troy ounce equals about $30.5 million per ton, about what Mr. Crabtree thinks he is worth as a pass catcher. So the sale of 400 tons of gold might produce enough dollars to pay one year's payroll of the NFL, or the executive bonus of a few Wall Street Bankers, some run as high as 4 tons in a year. Thus the whole 2000 tons that might be sold in five years is worth $65 billion at today’s prices, ($3.2 million per ton times 2000 tons) a pittance when we consider that the US Treasury, and the US central bank, (not including the 19 European bankers) have printed and spent somewhere between $6 trillion and $12 trillion dollars in the last 12 months alone. It is hardly worth arguing which number of trillions is the right number because any number we use will be overrun within a year or two. Putting Washington and The New York FED spending in a gold perspective, six trillion dollars would, at $950 per ounce, would 200,000 Metric Tons of gold, or about 100 times as much gold as the European bankers have suggested they might sell, and almost twice as much gold as the world has ever produced, including every ounce lost, and in our teeth and old eyeglass frames in museums. According to the World Gold Council, which was my first click in my Google search for the “world gold supply,” all the governments in the world hold about 30,000 tons of Gold ( the USA holding the most with 8000 tons) and only about 110,000 tons have been accumulated by everyone world wide since the dawn of man. Thus our estimate that the FED and the Treasury have borrowed and or printed enough money in a year to buy all the gold owned by all governments 7 to 14 times over (depending on whose figure you use of the deficit spending), and nearly twice as much gold than is owned by all people and governments combined! Notes(1) (2) So how are gold, the Central Bankers, and high cost of a pass receiver related? Usury is a bible word for cheating people who have money by diluting the value of what they have. I would say you should not worry too much if your gold collection (if you are lucky enough to have one) drops in dollar price as a result of this propaganda campaign by the central bankers. It is really the value of the dollar that is fluctuating up and mostly down. It appears that developing countries, including China, Russia and India are buying up gold faster than the central bankers can sell it. What would you say to a member of your Sunday school class who passes out a letter requesting support to send him on a mission to Israel to help the Israel Defense Force (IDF) through a quasi, Israeli government group, The National Project for Volunteers for Israel (sar-el.org)?  The request starts out with..."Israel, the epicenter of our faith and the world, is surrounded by hostile forces putting much pressure on the Jewish people there."  Tom Compton, who is a member of a large evangelical church, asks the question "Is it Israel or Jesus?".

The host of a regional meeting of Southern Baptist Pastors invited Chuck Carlson as luncheon speaker at a monthly meeting of about 16 men.  The topic was, Christian Zionism's Roots, and How It Impacts Life and Death in Gaza. ---The reception from some was stony disbelief; others seemed to need to polish off the subject with prayer and forget it.

What can we do personally about Israel’s Death Culture?  Tell your Congressman you blame him for the blood and lives lost.  Refuse to purchase products of any kind that are imported from or use materials from Israel; check labels or ask merchants and let them know what you’re doing;  withdraw your patronage from anyone who supports Israel. Ask local merchant, then walk out if they do.  Followers of Christ, not take a tour to Israel until it grants full equality to the Palestinians.  If you know a church that offers tours, go to members, including the tour leader and the pastor, and show them why they should stop!
